A Peek of the week in Year 3

The highlights of our learning in Y3 this week included the following:

On Monday, we revisited our learning on the Magna Carta with an active quiz. Then after a discussion on democracy, we worked in groups to decide and present 3 rights for a 21^st Century Great Charter. Some excellent and very forward-thinking ideas were shared.

Aviana shared her playscript for the Gruffalo which she had worked on at home. She produced an excellent playscript for the whole book which she said took her 4 days. Inspired by this and by the author of the book, Julia Donaldson, the rest of the class wrote a 3-scene version.

On Tuesday afternoon, we made clay lanterns.

Later in the week we explored different properties of rocks; exploring their density, durability and whether they were permeable or impermeable before grouping and comparing them.
