This week in school we have celebrated British Science Week. This year’s theme was ‘Curiosity: What’s your question?’ The theme was to encourage children to find answers to the most pressing questions they have about the world.
Over the week the children have taken part in many different investigations to find out the answer to many questions including :
Does toast always fall butter side down?
How do boats float?
How are torches made?
What is an ecosystem?
What does great teamwork look like?
What do we know about germs?
Which plants grow in Spring?
What happens to different powders in water?
Which objects stick to a magnet?
Year 1 also had the opportunity to visit Winchester Science Centre where they had a fantastic hands-on experience.
We hope you enjoy looking at a few of our photos from the week.
