This half term Reception children have been busy learning about the season ‘Autumn’. We went on a walk around the school and found lots of signs of autumn, such as colourful leaves, conkers, pine cones and bare trees. We also learnt about bonfire night and made rockets out of construction toys and then wrote a sentence about them. We learnt about the importance of Remembrance Day and made individual poppies to wear, and poppy wreaths using paint and craft materials. In maths, we have been learning about 2d shapes, we went on a shape walk and found lots of shapes in our school environment and we have made shape pictures. On Friday, we celebrated Children in Need and did 25 jumps each! We made Pudsey masks and came to school all spotty.
